Byron Middle School Reviews

I am a former student0f bms and I enjoyed the teachers and the peaceful learning community.

Teacher quality is exceptional at this school. My child attended Byron Middle School and absolutely loved the majority of teachers she had. The teachers are truly concerned about the academic achievement of each student.

I attended Byron Middle School for my 6th, 7th, and 8th grade years. I must say that as far as academics go, if your child wants to learn he or she will. I was in the Gifted Program all three years and i must say that i loved it and learned a lot. I feel that most teachers are dedicated and willing to help those who need it. The Sports Program was very dissapointing. You won't learn much more than the basics of the game from the coaches, however they are very nice and pleasurable to be around. Do not let me discourage you from playing sports. It was a very fun experience and you can meet a lot of new people.

I had two children attending Byron Middle School last year, both of my children transfered from Fort Valley Middle School, I think that they were challenged academically more at Byron Middle School..I do agree that they are a little too concerned about the dress code and stuff and should pay more attention to the academic process, and also weed out the 'trouble makers' and discipline those that continue to get in trouble rather than make examples out of a child that does something wrong one time...other than this the school is great...the teachers are there to teach, not just there for a job, they care about the students and that makes a difference..my one child will be going to high school this year but my other one will definetly being goin back to Byron Middle School

If the school was as concerned about the kids test scores and grades as they are about the dress code; this would be the top school in the usa! i dont belive that education is this schools main objective..

A 2004 Georgia School of Excellence in academic achievement, Byron Middle School is a great place for students. A small student body (less than 500) and a fulltime School Resource Officer (courtesy of the Sheriff's Department) make it a safe place as well. Dedicated and imaginative teachers make learning challenging and fun.
