Quail Run Elementary School Reviews

My kids got a great education while they were at Quail Run. All of the staff does what ever they can to make sure the kids have fun and safe learning environment.

They helped my son go from special education in elementary school to taking AP classes in High School.

Awesome school. My son went to QRE from 2nd grade through 5th, and he loved this school. His grades improved with each year, and he had the greatest teachers one could ask for. The Administration, faculty and staff are the best in the county. The lunchroom staff are welcoming and friendly too. It is just an amazing, incredible school and I am so happy my son was lucky enough to be a Quail Run Cub. Dr Rizer and Dr Thomas are the best!

My three children attend Quail Run. Staff and teachers have been marvelous. My children are thriving. Even the cafeteria is good. Teachers have addressed my concerns with respect and have been extremely helpful in allways. My children's individual needs have been met, even when it's been challenging.

Quail Run is a great school. It has one of the highest parent involvement of schools in Houston County. I haven't found a teacher that wasn't a good one. I wouldn't want my children to go to any other Elementary school.

The school is very student and parent oriented. The administration is involved in the daily events of the school. The principal and vice know most of the children by name and are very visible throughout the day. Great School!

I was very displeased with my child's experience at this school. The given curriculum was addressed using only traditional teacher techniques which didn't allow for critical thinking from students. If you expect a progressive approach to your child's learning, I suggest you conference with the administration to find a teacher that is willing to try new approaches. It is more important that my child learns to think and problem solve, not just pass a test or design something cute for the hallway. Meaningful instruction develops successful students.

My oldest son went through Quail Run and now my daughter is going through this school. We have had a wonderful experience here. The teachers and Administration are wonderful! The teachers are caring and concerned and want was is best for our children. The school is very much on parents being involved and welcome any involvement from the parents. Matter of fact, there is a lot of parental involvement at this school which makes for a better school. The principal is always seen and not hidden in his office. When we built our house, we built it in an area where our children could attend this school because we had heard such wonderful things about it and we agree. My oldest son loved it and now my daughter is loving it. Just a great school!

I could not ask for a better school for my children. The faculty and staff are great! The teachers go above and beyond for our kids.

As a parent of QRE I have been very pleased with the quality education that has been given to my daughter. The school utilizes proven teaching practices and technology with the students. My daughter looks forward to school every morning and loves to talk habout her day. The staff is highly dedicated and exhibits true professionalism. It is very clear that once you walk in the building that you are welcome. Parents are a valued resource that are used to build a community spirit both in and out of the classroom. The teachers spend a great deal of their time in the evenings and on weekends making sure that they have prepared the very best lessons for the children. The school is always buzzing with activity. No child is left behind as the staff tries very hard to meet the individual needs of students. All of these things are evident as the test scores rank among the top in the county and region.

I'm only speaking for the special education program at this school. I was sorely disappointed in the lack of compliance with IDEA in one particular special education classroom. There has been a 'cap' placed on the amount of education being given in this classroom; in fact, no academics whatsoever are being taught at all. Upon leaving this classroom, some of the children are poorly prepared for a class that does provide academics and has high expectations. My advice to anyone who has a child scheduled to attend this school would be to do a thorough investigation of the class, the teacher, and the administration. Ask a lot of questions, know your child's rights, and find another school immediately if you have an ounce of concern.
