I'm not going to lie I am by no means laid back, whatever that means really. I mean seriously does anyone know exactly what it means to be laid back? How about down to earth...ok I'm gonna stop now cause I'll start chasing rabbits. At any rate I'm tried of doing these damn things and filling it out like I'm doing some video dating thing. Yes I'm single but I've got so much shit going on in my life right now I couldn't even begin to think about dating. Sure I can be an adult, when the time calls for it, but generally I just enjoy being a child. Hanging with my friends, playing Rock Band, doing whatever really. I am a god damn mess, I've got four credit cards that will be paid off this year, I've got a car that will also be paid off this year, and then I'm going back to school for Winter Quarter. I'm a ticking time bomb these past few days...well months really. I get stressed easily over the smallest damn thing and sure I'd love to be drama free but let's face it no one can be drama free. I try very hard to keep things drama free but sometimes life won't have it that way. So....well hell I'm out of things to talk about. So whatever just email if you wish I can babble more. I'm a very laid back person who just got out of the Navy not to long ago. I have a sense of humor and usually don't take things that seriously...life is to short anyways! I go with the flow about 99.9% of the time, I really just let things. The other 0.01% is my spur the moment type things...which happen more often when I've had a few drinks (but no, I am NOT an alcoholic).

I absolutely hate math with a passion, it just doesn't make sense to me at all. In fact, I usually forget what I just learned in a few days after not using it. If you want to see me stress out to the point of insanity, you will give me a math problem. I never used anything beyond arithmetic in the Navy, so I can say with truth that my Algebra teacher in high school was dead wrong when she preached that I will use it throughout my life.

So other than that, I was born in Texas, but sadly enough I don't feel the urge to wear a cowboy hat! I have one sister and that is enough for me, yeesh. I have one sport bike and one truck. I have been in one motorcycle accident, I was T-Boned by a F-250 going 45 MPH (in a 10 MPH zone). Yea, it kind of hurt and walking was not an option for the first 2 days. I got a chipped thumb-bone and a gnarly bruise on my right hip. I don't care what people say, morphine doesn't do anything!

I travel alot. I've lived in three countries & six US States (multiple places in each.) I'm 30 (I know I'm getting old) and I move alot. I don't live in one place for more than a couple of yrs then it's time to move. My travels are both for fun and for work. Unfortunatly, moving all of the time has kept me single and no kids. By the time I get to know someone, it's time to move. I tend to say goodbye to friends at each place and hello to new friends at the new place. Well enough about my traveling habbits. First, and above all other things, I am a responsible man who cares deeply for my three boys. I just put that out there so that I can make sure itâ??s been said. Next, I have to tell anyone who wants to learn more about me that intelligence is important to me. Okay, I've had my profile up for a few months and I think it's time I rewrite this.
Without direction, I suck at writing descriptions of myself. But I'll attempt it.
I'm a pretty strange person. I like things that most don't. I'm actually passionate about life and I stand up for what I believe in. I find the majority of the human race to be disappointing, honestly. I'm not a negative person at all. But I am just pretty disillusioned with people as a whole. That's pretty much why I joined this site, in hopes of finding someone that I wouldn't meet in my everyday life. I can be reserved, but I do have the tendency to be loud and obnoxious if I'm with the right people. I'm an atheist and I've had a difficult time finding fellow freethinkers in this area. I have been told that I look like Dante from the "Clerks" series and that I am a truly kind hearted individual. I love my friends and I love a good laugh as well as working on cars and computers.

I love anime, especially Mecha. I promise that I'm a moderate on my love of anime. so I won't yell at you if we don't want the ultimate edition in Japanese while making mochi in the kitchen to go with the show. (although I wouldn't mind the mochi part) I do draw the line on good anime vs. OMFGWTF BBQ type anime. If I can't figure out what's going on after one episode, I don't think I'm keen on watching it again. Otherwise, I'm game for pretty much any anime.

I also love a good book, so if you try to sneak a book reference by me, I might surprise you with my knowledge. I am a lover of Science Fiction, and Horror. World War Z is an excellent book and gives a humorous view on alternative history. I love Sci-fi as a whole and can spend hours reading.

I come from a blended family. I'm the oldest of 7 siblings (4 "whole" siblings, 1 step-brother, 1 half-sister, 1 half-brother). I love spending time with them and their children to the greatest extent possible. Next to being a dad, being an uncle is the best.

When I was a boy, my mom received a gift from a friend that helped to shape my outlook towards women in general and to my partner in life specifically. The gift was a plaque that basically said: "Woman was made from the rib of man; not from his head to top him, nor from his feet to be stepped upon; but from beneath his arm to be protected by him; near his heart to be close to him; from his side to be equal to him." I read that every day until I left home for military service & it definitely made an impression on me.

I believe women should be treated with respect & dignity. I believe the best PERSON should be chosen for the job, regardless of gender. I think gender should have no bearing on what a person earns. Your skills, knowledge, work ethic, productivity, & aggressiveness should determine what you earn--not your gender.

I have a lot of influential women in my life who inspire me to be a better man: my daughters, my mother, my sisters, my grandmothers, my aunts, my nieces, and the mother of my children.

I have been asked why I'm here. I was married for 23 years to the girl of my dreams and our life was a beautiful love story. However, life took it's toll and my wife fell out of love with me and asked to end our marriage the day I came home from Iraq for Christmas vacation. I tried vainly to save our marriage but she wanted no part of it.

I've been an athlete all of my life. I love sports. I love to compete & participate. I'm especially fond of attending the sporting events of my kids (daughters, nieces, nephews, & friends' kids).

Right now, I'm trying to get back in to excellent physical condition after experiencing a few physical set backs during the last few years of my military career. The injuries and subsequent pain that came with them demoralized me & left me frustrated. I gained some highly undesired weight after a few surgeries and now I'm working to get rid of it & return to my ideal weight.

My favorite sports teams are the San Antonio Spurs (NBA), the Indianapolis Colts (NFL), & the Atlanta Braves (MLB). (Why so diverse? I grew up in Indiana & in Maryland, was stationed in San Antonio for 5 years, & have lived in Georgia for the past 10; so that's how my sports loyalties developed.)

I love to attend pro or college sporting events. I have been to major sporting events all over the country. This started as a past time with my dad, who took me to many professional football, hockey, soccer, & lacrosse games when I was a kid. It would be nice to have a special girl to go to games with.

The marriage, at this point, is completely over due to his cheating and other problems, but I have not left yet because I didn't want to hurt my kids.
